Sometimes.. it's great to feel different
"Melissa, is that you?" then comes the staring as if I was an alien from Mars or non-existent planet. After which comes the interrogation. With all these gestures happening all at the same time, I had a tiny little feeling of wanting to just melt in the chair I was sitting and dissapear. Guess where it all happened?
Ah yes, my good ol' friend Christian Tan's house. I can understand if his parents can't recognize me BUT BUT Chris Tan!!! My friend for years. Can't recognize me. How weird is that? The weirdness continued to the extent of him taking a picture of me so that he can analyze it for the next few days to see if it really was me. Oh and he is going to post it up on someone's blog. Now, Chris I FORBID you to post it up under any circumstance. All this also proves how long we haven't met each other. See!
However, it was nice to meet up and again and chat about things. I whole new level of things to talk about. While I am still struggling to finish my degree, my friend is struggling to make ends meet. Time has brought us thus far and it's amazing that we still have a good and healthy friendship. It's a miracle.
There's so many little bits and pieces of things I want to do but I feel so bound by uni stuff. I mean I didn't expect so much work to be done. There's the assignments and thesis and directed reading and working. All of these things take up a bulk of my time. I mean is that what God intends me to do? I don't think so. I guess I chose the path that I wanted and now I can only rely on God to bring me through. I am happy though that I am making a difference in my little society in college. Praise God!
Oh and I am still contemplating on posting the latest picture of myself for you guys to judge and see if I really do look different coz this week alone, besides Chris there were others who commented about how different I look. Ladies and Gentleman, it's official that my curtain looking hair has changed into something strange and messy. But I think I like it :P
